Day 8

We're on our way out of Estes Park now. No exciting destination today, we'll just be stopping at a cheap hotel in Ogden, Utah.

We don't have a fabulous, complete story in our heads like Stephen King, but Zim did get an idea at the Stanley. He wants to write a novel about travelling, and about writing a book on the road. Between chapters about his characters, we'll stick pieces of the novel that they're writing, blending reality with fiction and tossing our experiences into it. Totally meta.

Zim says he's already got a character in his head. I told Zim I was well aware he had lots of characters in his head. He didn't even crack a smile.
